RECEPTIVE LANGUAGE
- Understands adjectives, such as ‘hard’ and ‘soft’
- Understands language concepts, for example “give me one” or “put them all in the box”
- Understands ‘wh’ questions such as “who,” “where,” and “what”
- Understands negatives, for example “show me the girl with no shoes”
- Identifies 2-3 colours from a group when asked
EXPRESSIVE LANGUAGE
- Can produce approximately 800 words
- Produces sentences with a string of 3-5 words
- Answers simple questions, for example “where is your hat?”
